Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. This globally distributed team focuses on delivering a robust search experience and contributing to improvements in Lucene integration.

You will shape technical direction, design, and implement new search features while resolving complex bugs. We hire across continents, collaborating via email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack.

Qualificações

• Experience with search or vector databases at scale.
• Strong Java knowledge and concurrency basics.
• Ability to drive technical design end-to-end.
• Experience collaborating asynchronously across distributed teams.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or related tech.

Responsabilidades

• Lead initiatives to deliver industry-leading search engine features.
• Build new search features and fix bugs, optimize code.
• Work with globally distributed team on vector search capabilities.
• Own Elasticsearch search relevance and drive improvements.
• Review community issues and contribute to pull requests.
• Write idiomatic modern Java.
