Elastic is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch vector search team in Portalegre, Portugal. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced vector features, improving speed and relevance of search at scale.

You will work with a globally distributed team, contribute to code quality, and craft algorithms that push the boundaries of vector similarity. Proficiency in Java and open-source collaboration are essential for success.

Qualificações

• Experience with vector similarity and vector databases.
• Proficient in Java and familiar with standard data structures and concurrency constructs.
• Ability to work autonomously and guide projects end-to-end.
• Excellent collaboration skills and experience with open source or distributed teams.
• Familiarity with open source workflows and CI/CD practices.
