You will work with distributed teams globally, contribute to core search solutions, and shape a technical vision across organizations. A strong background in Java, Lucene, and scalable systems is essential.

• Define, lead, and contribute to the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities.
• Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms.
• Collaborate with partners and product teams to shape the long-term technical vision for search at Elastic.
• Drive the roadmap for indexing, query execution, and relevance layers.
• Serve as go-to expert for Elasticsearch domains and mentor others.
