Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team. You will drive the technical direction for search features, contribute to implementing algorithms and work with a globally distributed team to improve speed and relevance.

You will write idiomatic Java, tackle complex vector similarity problems, and collaborate across functions to ship robust software. This role values autonomy, open-source collaboration, and a strong focus on scalable, real-time

Qualificações

• Experience with vector similarity information retrieval in production.
• Professional experience with search or vector databases at scale.
• Solid Java skills and knowledge of concurrency and data structures.
• Ability to work autonomously and guide projects end to end.
• Experience collaborating asynchronously across distributed teams.
• Familiarity with open source projects and CI workflows.

Responsabilidades
