Job summary

SSA Consulting Group seeks a Quality Lead for an M&E contractor project in Sines, Portugal. This senior site-based role will lead the Project Quality Management System across CSA and MEP works, and support QA/QC Engineers on site.

You will oversee ITPs, inspections, testing, and quality documentation, manage NCRs, and liaise with client teams to ensure handover readiness. The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree with 8+ years QA/QC experience on large-scale projects, demonstrates

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years' QA/QC experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of CSA and MEP installations.
• Previous experience managing or leading quality teams.
• Strong understanding of ITPs, inspections, NCRs, audits, and handover documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Project Quality Management System across CSA and MEP works.
• Manage and support QA/QC Engineers on site.
• Oversee ITPs, inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
• Manage NCRs and ensure corrective actions are closed out.
• Liaise with construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and client teams.
• Ensure quality dossiers and handover documentation are completed to the required standard.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Monitor quality performance and ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications.
• Promote a right-first-time approach across the project.
