Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking a senior Quality Lead for a major Data Centre project in Sines, Portugal. This site-based role drives the quality strategy, ensures adherence to project specifications, and leads the QA/QC team to deliver works to the highest standards.

The position requires coordinating with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Commissioning and Client teams. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of QA/QC on large-scale constructions, strong CSA/MEP

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years’ QA/QC experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of CSA and MEP installations.
• Experience in data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical environments desirable.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Project Quality Management System across CSA and MEP works
• Manage and mentor QA/QC Engineers on site
• Oversee ITPs, inspections, testing, and quality documentation
• Manage NCRs and drive corrective actions
• Liaise with construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Ensure quality dossiers and handover documentation are completed to required standards
• Support audits and promote a right-first-time quality culture
