Siemens AG in Portugal is seeking a Senior Project Communications Expert (English speaker) to lead end-to-end communication for a major IT transformation initiative. You will translate complex topics into clear, engaging content for executives, teams, and international audiences, driving adoption and transparency across the organization.

• 5+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Change Management, Business Administration, or similar fields.
• Ability to translate complex IT/project topics into clear messages for various audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal English; experience preparing content for senior stakeholders.
• Experience with international and multicultural teams in a global environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence project leaders and senior management.
• Experience in Agile, IT, digital transformation environments is a strong advantage.

In this role, you will support the IT team on a key transformation program, working closely with project leaders, technical experts, business stakeholders, and international teams to ensure that information is timely, consistent, audience-oriented, and aligned with program objectives.

You will act as the communication focal point for the program, building compelling content, coordinating communication activities, and turning project progress into meaningful stories that support understanding, adoption, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Your mission will be…

• Develop and implement communication strategies and plans that support program goals, stakeholder engagement, change readiness, and business adoption;
• Translate IT, technical, and project-related topics into clear, relevant, and user-friendly communication tailored to different stakeholder groups;
• Design communication packages and key messages for leadership, project teams, end users, and business stakeholders across the organization;
• Create high-quality communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, executive updates, project briefings, FAQs, talking points, and leadership-ready content;
• Support transformation, operational change, and future-state readiness activities by ensuring consistent, transparent, and well-structured communication;
• Drive awareness of project progress, key milestones, achievements, risks, and strategic priorities through engaging storytelling and business-oriented messaging;
• Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures;
• Facilitate alignment between project teams and stakeholders by establishing clear communication routines, channels, and feedback loops;
• Monitor communication effectiveness and stakeholder feedback, using insights to continuously improve messaging, formats, and engagement approaches;
• Contribute to change and adoption activities by helping stakeholders understand the why, what, and how of new ways of working.

We are looking for someone with…

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Communications, Marketing, Change Management, Business Administration, Project Communications, or similar fields;
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Business, Information Management, or a related discipline;
• Strong storytelling, copywriting, presentation development, and content creation capabilities, with the ability to adapt messages to executive, operational, and end-user audiences;
• Proven ability to understand complex project, process, or technology topics and translate them into concise, engaging, and business-relevant communication;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence preparing content for senior stakeholders and international audiences;
• Experience working with international and multicultural teams in a global environment;
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the maturity to challenge, advise, and align with project leaders, technical experts, and senior management;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communication streams in a dynamic environment;
• Experience in Agile, project-based, IT, digitalization, or transformation environments is a strong advantage;
• A structured, self-driven, flexible, and proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes under changing priorities;
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity, attention to detail, and passion for continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and creating meaningful communication experiences.
