Job summary

Quanteam, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Senior PL SQL Developer to lead Oracle PL/SQL development and database optimization in a hybrid Lisbon-based role. You will design, develop and refactor high‑quality PL/SQL solutions while guiding architectural decisions and best practices across projects.

You should have 6+ years of experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with Java and Spring Batch.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Deep knowledge of SQL performance tuning and Oracle database optimization.
• Experience with system design, application integration and cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Batch; knowledge of Perl and/or Python is a plus.
• Experience with software development, maintenance, refactoring and application architecture.

🔎 We are looking for a Senior PL SQL Developer

Main Tasks

• Coordinate technical projects and ensure delivery according to project milestones and deadlines.
• Design, develop, maintain and refactor applications using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Make technical and architectural decisions for PL/SQL-based solutions.
• Develop and optimize business processes and database solutions.
• Perform Oracle SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
• Provide architectural guidance, technical supervision and development best practices.
• Ensure application security, code quality, maintainability and compliance with technical standards.
• Support application projects and IT/Project Owners across different development environments.
• Participate in software testing, deployment and release activities.
• Provide Level 3 production support and participate in on-call activities when required.
• Contribute to obsolescence management and continuous improvement of applications.
• Act as a technical reference, sharing knowledge and coaching other team members.

Main Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning and Oracle database optimization.
• Experience with system design, application integration and cloud technologies.
• Good knowledge of Java and Spring Batch.
• Knowledge of Perl and/or Python is a plus.
• Experience with software development, maintenance, refactoring and application architecture.
• Understanding of security standards, code quality and application lifecycle management.
• Experience working in technical/project environments and collaborating with multiple teams.
• Banking/financial industry experience is a plus.
• Fluent English (minimum C1), written and spoken.
• French is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of rigor, autonomy, responsiveness, initiative and curiosity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in multicultural/global teams.
• This role offers a gross annual salary between 38.500€ to 60.500€, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
