GRiT Solutions in Lisbon seeks an experienced Specialist Oracle DBA to drive performance, resource efficiency and project delivery across ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA environments. You will tune queries, optimize backups, upgrade Oracle clients, enable Kerberos authentication and advise development teams while maintaining audit, encryption and access controls.

Required: 5–10 years with production Oracle databases, Oracle RAC/Data Guard/RMAN, SQL/PLSQL, Linux/Unix, and English at B2 level or above.

Qualificações

• 5–10 years of hands-on work with production Oracle databases
• Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Track record in database performance tuning, data compression and resource optimization
• Solid knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager
• SQL and PL/SQL scripting
• ExaCC CPU optimization, query tuning and Exadata awareness
• Kerberos authentication and Oracle Client upgrades
• Transparent Data Encryption, auditing and compliance controls
• Linux and/or Unix as main platforms, with Windows as a secondary environment
• Working knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer and Toad for Oracle
• English at B2 level or above
• Teamwork across infrastructure, development and business stakeholders
• Methodical approach to problem solving, with clear reporting of technical findings
• Specialist depth combined with breadth across several database technologies

Responsabilidades

• Specialist Oracle DBA position centred on performance, resource efficiency and project delivery across ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA environments
• Query tuning, compression and indexing strategy to reduce CPU, storage and I/O costs, optimization of backup and recovery, ownership of key projects such as the move to Kerberos authentication and Oracle Client upgrades
• Advice to development teams, root cause analysis of complex performance incidents, enforcement of access management, TDE encryption and audit controls
