act digital is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to join a highly skilled team in Lisbon. You will drive performance optimization, resource efficiency, platform modernization, and project delivery across Exadata Cloud@Customer, ZFS and ZDLRA infrastructures.

You will act as the Oracle SME, guiding design, tuning, and secure operations while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, high-performance databases.

Qualificações

• 5+ years hands-on experience managing Oracle databases in enterprise production environments.
• Strong experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Proven performance tuning, resource optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ExaCC, ZFS, and ZDLRA is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication, Oracle Client upgrades, TDE, and auditing controls.

We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join a highly skilled team responsible for mission-critical database environments. This role is focused on performance optimization, resource efficiency, platform modernization, and project delivery across Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC), ZFS, and ZDLRA infrastructures.

You will act as the Oracle subject matter expert, driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting strategic projects, and collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high-performance, secure, and scalable database platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize Oracle database performance through advanced tuning, indexing strategies, SQL optimization, and compression techniques.
• Improve ExaCC resource utilization, maximizing CPU efficiency while reducing infrastructure costs.
• Enhance backup and recovery strategies across Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA environments, ensuring reliability and operational excellence.
• Lead and support strategic initiatives such as Kerberos authentication implementation and Oracle Client upgrades.
• Provide guidance to development teams on database design, SQL best practices, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Perform root cause analysis of complex database incidents and recommend long-term solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, including access management, TDE encryption, auditing, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure, application development, and project management.
• Contribute to broader database ecosystems, including Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Azure Synapse.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Oracle databases in enterprise production environments.
• Strong experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Proven track record in performance tuning, resource optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle ExaCC, ZFS, and ZDLRA is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication, Oracle Client upgrades, TDE, and auditing controls.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Synapse, or DB2 is a plus.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is a plus.

• Professional English (C1) is mandatory.
