Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to own end-to-end collections operations, collaborating with risk, underwriting and operations to optimize policies and processes.

You will use data analysis and GenAI tools to improve workflows, engage customers, and coordinate with external agencies across jurisdictions. The role requires independent leadership, strong communication in English, and familiarity with FinTech environments.

Responsibilities

• Own collections end to end, from initial customer contact through external agencies and legal action
• Monitor a portfolio of customers unwilling or unable to repay credit
• Engage one-to-one with customers to resolve breaches of credit terms
• Liaise with external agencies and legal firms across different jurisdictions
• Instruct legal actions and register claims in insolvencies
• Build and maintain reports on collections activity, amounts collected, amounts written off, and portfolio performance
• Provide reports and insights as required
• Collaborate with leadership, risk and underwriting, and operational teams on policy changes and proactive monitoring
• Create and maintain collections-process documentation
• Master collections processes, legal partner interactions, and the collections portfolio
• Improve monitoring and policies with operations, risk, and underwriting teams
• Develop sustainable collections workflows using agentic AI

Requirements

• Experience in collections, risk and compliance, and/or data analysis
• Background in customer-facing roles across B2B or B2C, such as Customer Support, CX, or Customer Success
• Strong independent leadership skills
• Intermediate skills with Google Workspace, SQL, and GenAI, including agentic AI tools
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to fix bugs and scope new features
• Ability to convey complex operational concepts with simplicity and empathy
• Sharp prioritisation skills
• Familiarity with FinTech, collections, or legal environments is a strong plus
• Ability to follow procedural workflows and identify when standard procedures apply
• English-language application and ability to use English extensively in the role
