Job summary

Pestana Porto Covo Village is seeking an experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and maintain the high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort.

You will oversee room readiness, inventory, training, and guest issue resolution, reporting to the General Manager. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in executive housekeeper roles and proficiency with Opera software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar.
• Proficient in Opera software.
• Good understanding of hospitality industry procedures and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good leadership and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
• Ensure rooms are made as per company standard.
• Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform.
• Organise inventories for linen, uniform, and fixed assets with Accounts and General Store.
• Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures.
• Prepare reports for management information.
• Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for housekeeping items.
• Attend to and resolve guest complaints.
• Verify supplies consignments.
• Organise on-the-job training and evaluate its effectiveness.
