Siemens Global Business Services in Portugal seeks an experienced Front End Developer to design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and engineers across the lifecycle, apply clean architecture and modern frontend practices, mentor juniors, and contribute to microservice-based solutions in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional experience developing applications with Angular.
• Strong focus on scalable, performant, and user-friendly web apps.
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Angular testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
• Understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI/CD.
• Thrives in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, comfortable in international environments.

Your responsibilities will include…

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-quality web applications using mainly Angular.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and architects throughout the entire product lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape technical decisions for scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code following software design best practices and clean architecture principles.
• Perform code reviews and support the adoption of development standards and best practices across the team.
• Integrate frontend solutions with backend services and the broader application ecosystem.
• Participate in CI/CD processes and ensure smooth delivery of application releases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and long-term project sustainability.
• Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to an agile and collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to the development of modern microservice-based solutions using the latest technologies and frameworks.

We're looking for a Front End Developer who…

• Has 8+ years of professional experience developing applications with Angular.
• Possesses strong expertise in building scalable, performant, and user-friendly web applications.
• Has solid knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Is experienced with Angular testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
• Understands software engineering best practices, including clean architecture, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Has experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD.
• Thrives in agile environments and enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
• Is fluent in English and comfortable working in an international environment.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience or strong interest in UX/UI design and user-centered development approaches.
• Knowledge of backend development using Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices environments.
• Familiarity with modern frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise software development projects.
