Siemens is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to build and operate foundational developer platforms with full lifecycle ownership in a large enterprise setting. You will ensure reliability, scalability, security, and excellent developer experience across the stack.

You will own platforms end-to-end, develop APIs and automation, and drive non-functional requirements such as availability and observability, collaborating across teams in a modern, hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• Strong backend/software engineering with Go or Python.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud-native development.
• CI/CD mindset and automation expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code and observability practices (metrics/logs/tracing).

Responsabilidades

• Own platforms end-to-end (design, build, operate, improve, secure, and scale).
• Develop platform capabilities (APIs, automation, controllers) for self-service and developer efficiency.

Your mission will be… Build and operate business-critical foundational developer platforms (e.g., artifact management, code quality, CI/CD integrations) with full lifecycle ownership, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and excellent developer experience across a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own platforms end-to-end (design, build, operate, improve, secure, and scale)
• Develop platform capabilities (APIs, automation, controllers) to enable self-service and developer efficiency
• Implement and continuously improve non-functional requirements: availability, performance, cost efficiency, observability
• Engineer reliability through automation, testing, and monitoring—not reactive operations
• Own security end-to-end, including secure design, vulnerability management, and hardened runtime configurations
• Collaborate across teams to manage dependencies via structured backlog-driven workflows (e.g., Jira)

We are looking for someone with…

• Required Skills
  • Strong backend/software engineering (Go, Python or similar)
  • Container Orchestration with Kubernetes
  • CI/CD and automation mindset
  • Cloud-native development, microservices and API design
  • Infrastructure as Code and observability (metrics, logs, tracing)
• Preferred Skills
  • Experience with developer platforms (Artifactory, SonarQube, GitHub, Backstage)
  • Exposure to SRE practices (SLOs, reliability engineering, incident management)
  • Experience in large-scale platform operations
  • DataDog, PagerDuty, OpenTelemetry experience
  • GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD and Terraform experience
