Decskill is seeking a Senior Database Analyst to design, optimise and maintain our database environments (Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL) across our international operations. You will fine-tune performance, develop ETL processes and collaborate with development teams to ensure data integrity and availability.

Successful candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, ELK, Zabbix) and a solid DevOps mindset.

Qualificações

• Strong experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience developing, optimising and monitoring ETL processes with SQL procedures and functions.
• Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning, partitioning and indexing.
• Experience with Master Data Services.
• Root cause analysis and database troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Dynatrace, ELK, Zabbix).
• DevOps practices including CI/CD; ITIL basics.
• Experience supporting production environments and business-critical applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in Portuguese and strong English; some Spanish valued.

We are looking for a Senior Database Analyst | Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL!

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain database systems within the organisation's information systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, availability and reliability.
• Administer and optimise complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database environments.
• Monitor and support critical business processes, ensuring database systems meet operational and business requirements.
• Develop, maintain and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and database triggers for data manipulation, reporting and business process optimisation.
• Develop, optimise and monitor ETL processes to support data integration and business operations.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to improve database performance and enhance business process outcomes.
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with the strategies defined by each business line.
• Provide technical support to developers and Application Production Support (APS) teams.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents affecting performance, availability or access to information.
• Perform root cause analysis and actively participate in post-mortem reviews for major and recurring database incidents.
• Monitor database performance and availability using tools such as Dynatrace, Power BI and other monitoring platforms.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to simplify operations, automate processes and optimise database costs.
• Apply database performance tuning techniques, including partitioning, indexing and query optimisation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to technical standards.

Requirements:

• Strong experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
