Qualifications

• Strong experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience developing, optimising and monitoring ETL processes, including SQL procedures and functions.
• Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning, database partitioning and indexing.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK and Zabbix.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with strategies defined by each business line.
• Provide technical support to developers and APS teams.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents affecting performance, availability or access to information.
• Monitor database performance and availability using tools such as Dynatrace, ELK and Zabbix.

We are looking for a Senior Database Analyst – Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL!

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain database systems within the organisation's information systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, availability and reliability.
• Administer and optimise complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database environments.
• Monitor and support critical business processes, ensuring database systems meet operational and business requirements.
• Develop, maintain and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and database triggers for data manipulation, reporting and business process optimisation.
• Develop, optimise and monitor ETL processes to support data integration and business operations.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to improve database performance and enhance business process outcomes.
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with the strategies defined by each business line.
• Provide technical support to developers and Application Production Support (APS) teams.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents affecting performance, availability or access to information.
• Perform root cause analysis and actively participate in post-mortem reviews for major and recurring database incidents.
• Monitor database performance and availability using tools such as Dynatrace, Power BI and other monitoring platforms.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to simplify operations, automate processes and optimise database costs.
• Apply database performance tuning techniques, including partitioning, indexing and query optimisation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to technical standards.

Requirements:

• Strong experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Solid experience developing, optimising and monitoring ETL processes, including SQL procedures and functions.
• Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning, database partitioning and indexing.
• Experience with Master Data Services.
• Strong root cause analysis and database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK and Zabbix.
• Practical knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL principles.
• Experience supporting production environments and business-critical applications.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations and security teams.
• Creativity, innovation and the ability to develop and adapt processes.
• Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory.
• Strong command of English is required.
• Basic knowledge of Spanish is valued.
