Job summary

Decskill is growing and seeks a Senior Developer specialized in Oracle PL/SQL to join our Lisbon team. You will contribute to design, development and maintenance of PL/SQL solutions across applications, ensuring performance, quality and security.

Responsibilities include following the project roadmap, making technical decisions, providing Level 3 support, and coordinating across multicultural teams in a global context.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in system design, integration and cloud technologies.
• Solid experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Experience with SQL database performance analysis and tuning.
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Batch.
• Knowledge of Perl or Python is a plus.
• Previous experience in the banking industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the project roadmap with the Project Manager, ensuring efficient planning and achievement of milestones and deadlines.
• Make technical and design decisions for PL/SQL projects.
• Develop and maintain business processes using PL/SQL.
• Perform performance monitoring and tuning on Oracle databases.
• Provide Level 3 support for critical incidents, including on-call activities.
• Coordinate technical projects and contribute to application development and maintenance.
• Refactor code and improve application components to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Provide architectural advice and technical supervision.
• Contribute to security tracking and application obsolescence management.
• Support IT and Project Owner application projects.
• Develop and test software components in accordance with development and security standards.
• Contribute to the design, modelling and implementation of product solutions, focusing on code quality and maintainability.
• Participate in the delivery of product components across different environments, working closely with other technical teams.
• Act as a technical reference, sharing knowledge and supporting the training and coaching of other team members.

Senior Developer – PL/SQL & Oracle!

Mission:

As a Senior Developer, you will contribute to the functional and application consistency of IT solutions, ensuring service continuity and continuous development. You will work across application development and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with quality, security guidelines and development best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience.


• Experience in system design, integration and cloud technologies.


• Strong background in programming languages and frameworks.


• Solid experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.


• Experience with SQL database performance analysis and tuning.


• Knowledge of Java and Spring Batch.


• Knowledge of Perl or Python is a plus.


• Previous experience in the banking industry is a plus.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Rigor, responsiveness, autonomy, initiative and curiosity.


• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.


• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and global teams.

Languages:

• Fluent English, both written and spoken – minimum C1 level.


• French is a plus.
