Decskill is expanding its AI capabilities and seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead Generative AI & NLP initiatives. You will design end-to-end data science solutions, build ML models, and deploy them in cloud environments.

You will work with Python, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and modern ML frameworks to deliver measurable impact across national and international projects. Fluent English and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science and ML projects.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data science initiatives from data understanding to deployment.
• Strong knowledge of EDA, modeling and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and industry-standard frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras and pandas.

• Contribute to AI and Data Science projects focusing on NLP and Generative AI.
• Design and implement end-to-end data science and ML solutions across data understanding, preparation, modeling, evaluation and deployment.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights for data-driven decisions.
• Develop, train and evaluate ML models using Python and standard frameworks.
• Implement data preparation/transformations to ensure data quality.
• Develop solutions using LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering; leverage OpenAI and AWS Bedrock.

• Apply software engineering best practices for code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver AI solutions aligned with business needs.

Senior Data Scientist - Generative AI & NLP

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to AI and Data Science projects, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI and core data science activities.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end data science and machine learning solutions, covering data understanding, preparation, modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, extract insights and support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Develop, train and evaluate machine learning models using Python and industry‑standard frameworks.
• Implement data preparation and transformation processes to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Design and develop solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering techniques.
• Leverage Generative AI technologies and platforms, such as OpenAI and AWS Bedrock, to develop AI‑powered solutions.
• Work with cloud infrastructure to support the development, deployment and scalability of AI and machine learning applications.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability and reliability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative AI solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end data science and machine learning initiatives, from data understanding and preparation to modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of data science concepts and principles, particularly exploratory data analysis (EDA), modelling and model evaluation.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Professional experience with industry‑standard data science and machine learning frameworks, such as scikit‑learn, PyTorch, Keras, OpenCV and pandas.
• Experience in data preparation and transformation using tools and technologies such as SQL and pandas.
• Professional experience with cloud infrastructure; AWS experience is highly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and Generative AI technologies, such as OpenAI and AWS Bedrock.
• Experience with MLOps solutions, such as MLflow and Databricks, is highly valued.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices and tools, including Git, CI/CD pipelines and unit testing, is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
