Decskill, a growing IT consulting company, seeks a Data Technical Lead to drive data platforms and GenAI initiatives from Lisbon. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, ML workflows, and AI solutions, collaborating with global Agile teams to deliver scalable software.

You will mentor peers, implement best practices, and contribute to architecture decisions while integrating with OpenAI APIs and LangChain technologies. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/CS/CE or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, Databricks.
• Strong Azure Data Factory and ML workflow knowledge.
• Experience with ML models and GenAI tooling (OpenAI, LangChain).
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL and data modeling.
• Experience designing REST APIs and CI/CD practices.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, refactor, and optimize Python and PySpark apps.
• Build data pipelines and ML workflows using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop GenAI solutions with OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, and RAG.
• Design AI solutions including document indexing and vector DBs.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
• Deploy apps, pipelines, and ML models across dev/test/prod.
• Perform code reviews, tests, log analysis, and quality improvements.
• Maintain docs, manage technical debt, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, global Agile teams.

We are looking for an Data Technical Lead!

Responsabilities:

• Develop, maintain, refactor, and optimize Python and PySpark applications.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and Machine Learning workflows using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop, deploy, and support GenAI solutions using OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Design and maintain single‑agent and multi‑agent AI solutions, including document indexing and vector database integrations.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
• Manage the deployment of applications, data pipelines, and ML models across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting log analysis, and continuous code quality improvements using GitHub, pytest, and SonarQube.
• Maintain technical documentation, manage technical debt backlog, support infrastructure change requests, and ensure adherence to development best practices and governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and global Agile teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Requirements:

• Up to 5 years of experience with the technologies and frameworks required for the role.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Python, PySpark, Databricks, and software development best practices.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, cloud‑based data pipelines, and Machine Learning workflows.
• Experience developing and maintaining Machine Learning models, including regression, classification, model lifecycle management, and performance evaluation.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, including OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG architectures, document indexing, vector databases, and Langfuse observability.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, data modeling, and vector databases.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, GitHub version control, environment management, automated testing (pytest), and code quality tools (SonarQube).
• Experience with technical documentation, troubleshooting, log analysis, user access management, and application governance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience working in Agile environments; knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory; Portuguese and Spanish are considered an advantage.
• Experience working in collaborative, multicultural, and global teams.
• Fluency in English.
