Zusammenfassung

Decskill, an IT consulting firm, is seeking a Data Science & ML specialist to join a hybrid team in Amadora. You will deliver end-to-end DS/ML projects, including data exploration, feature engineering, modelling, evaluation and deployment.

The role requires deep Python expertise, experience with AWS, and a strong background in LLMs and RAG, with on-site work 2–3 days per week. English at CEFR C1 or higher is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science and ML projects.
• End-to-end DS/ML delivery, from data understanding to deployment.
• Strong fundamentals with EDA, modelling and evaluation.
• Proficient in Python with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or Keras.
• Data prep using SQL and pandas; AWS cloud experience.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, and generative AI tools such as OpenAI.
• Excellent English language skills (CEFR C1) and on-site availability in Amadora 2–3 days/week.

Work arrangement: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week at the office

Mandatory requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end Data Science/ML solutions, covering data understanding, preparation, modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Strong understanding of Data Science fundamentals, particularly exploratory data analysis (EDA), modelling techniques and model evaluation.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with relevant libraries and frameworks, such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or Keras.
• Practical experience in data preparation and transformation using SQL and pandas.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Professional experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and Generative AI technologies, such as OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, at CEFR C1 level or above.
• Availability to work on-site in Amadora 2-3 days per week.

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with MLOps tools and platforms, such as MLflow or Databricks.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including Git, CI/CD and unit testing.
