Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Senior Data Scientist & Generative AI to lead end-to-end Data Science and ML initiatives, including building and deploying models, LLMs, and RAG workflows. The role requires strong Python skills, cloud familiarity, and collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end Data Science / ML initiatives, from data understanding and preparation to modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Data Science fundamentals, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Data Science / ML initiatives from data understanding to deployment.
• Develop and optimize Generative AI solutions, including LLMs and RAG techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable ML solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist & Generative AI:

RESPONSABILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end Data Science / ML initiatives, from data understanding and preparation to modelling, evaluation and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Data Science fundamentals, particularly Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), model development and evaluation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and relevant Data Science / ML libraries, such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, OpenCV and pandas.
• Experience in data preparation, transformation and manipulation using tools such as SQL and pandas.
• Professional experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and Generative AI technologies, such as OpenAI and Amazon Bedrock.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (CEFR Level C).
• Experience with MLOps tools and platforms, such as MLflow and Databricks, is highly valued.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines and unit testing, is highly valued.
