Hiscox is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the Europe Data Platform in Lisbon, working hybrid with Azure Databricks. You will drive design, governance, and scalable data solutions while mentoring engineers and collaborating with business stakeholders across Europe.

The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, including CI/CD, performance tuning, and cost optimization, within an insurance tech environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilidades

• Lead platform design and engineering for the Europe Data Platform on Databricks.
• Own deployment, CI/CD, observability, and cost management (FinOps).
• Define and enforce data engineering best practices and governance.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and onboarding.
