IG&H Portugal is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build a scalable data backbone for data and analytics projects, with strong exposure to financial services. Based in Lisbon, you will work with Netherlands clients, gaining international exposure while staying in Portugal.

You will develop Spark/PySpark pipelines on Databricks and Azure, help build data lakes and warehouses, ensure security and reliability, and operationalise analytics solutions into production-ready apps.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 2 years as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role, ideally with advisory/consultancy exposure.
• Strong SQL, Python and data processing frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog or Delta Live Tables) and Azure, including DevOps and CI/CD.
• Experience contributing to scalable data architectures and ability to explain technical choices to team and clients.
• Ambition to grow towards a senior engineer role.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain reusable data models and architectures.
• Develop complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark and PySpark on Databricks and Azure.
• Improve data lakes and data warehouses with performance, security and scalability in mind.
• Operationalise analytics and data science solutions into production-ready applications.
• Collaborate with team and clients, sharing knowledge.
