Job summary

Hiscox SA is seeking a Mid Data Engineer for the Europe Data Team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines on Databricks, delivering reliable data solutions for analytics across Europe. You will work with Data Analysts and the Data Product Manager to transform requirements into robust data products.

The role offers exposure to a modern cloud data stack (Azure/Databricks) and involvement in ongoing data platform evolution, governance, and daily operational support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data & Analytics roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines on Databricks to ingest, transform, and deliver data.
• Integrate multiple data sources into a unified data platform and contribute to data modelling and optimization.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability of production data processes.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and the Data Product Manager to deliver data solutions.
