HDR is seeking a Project Director - Commissioning to lead the commissioning strategy for major data centre projects in Portugal. You will oversee design reviews, testing programs, and handover readiness, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.

You will manage client and stakeholder relationships at senior levels, drive risk and budget controls, and ensure safety, reliability and performance through Level 2–5 IST.

Qualificações

• Minimum 12+ years' experience within commissioning, building services, mission‑critical, or data centre environments.
• Proven experience leading commissioning programmes on large‑scale data centre or mission‑critical projects.
• Strong understanding of commissioning processes from design through handover, including Levels 2‑5 testing.
• Experience leading Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for mission‑critical facilities.
• Experience managing client relationships at senior and executive levels.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the commissioning strategy and delivery for major data centre projects.
• Maintain trusted relationships with clients, contractors and operators.
• Direct the development and execution of commissioning plans, schedules, testing strategies and resource allocations.
• Provide expert technical guidance on mission‑critical systems and operational concepts.
• Oversee Level 2‑5 commissioning activities, IST, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
• Support commissioning business development, leadership, and capability development.
