Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to join the site delivery team for a large-scale data centre project in the Lisbon area, Portugal. You will lead commissioning activities, develop procedures, coordinate MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS, gensets, switchgear and control systems, and ensure safe handover to operations.

You will collaborate with project delivery, QA/QC and client teams to drive commissioning programs, IST and testing, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Commissioning Manager or similar in mission-critical environments.
• Experience on large-scale data centres or critical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of MV/LV, transformers, UPS, standby generators, switchgear, BMS/EPMS, protection and control systems.
• Experience managing IST programmes and client turnover activities.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electrical commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, review and implement commissioning procedures, test scripts and commissioning plans.
• Coordinate commissioning activities across MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and control systems.
• Collaborate with project delivery, construction, QA/QC and client teams to ensure safe and efficient commissioning.
• Manage commissioning schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
• Support energisation planning and execution activities.
• Coordinate integrated systems testing (IST) and functional performance testing.
• Review and approve commissioning documentation and handover packs.
• Manage interfaces between electrical, mechanical and controls commissioning teams.
• Ensure adherence to project procedures, standards and HSE requirements.
• Support final client demonstrations, handover processes and operational readiness.
