Decskill, a growing IT consulting company with global reach, seeks a Senior C++ Developer in Lisbon. You will design, implement, and optimize components for an ultra-low-latency electronic trading platform, collaborating with distributed teams across Europe.

Expect to lead technical initiatives, contribute to SDLC processes, and drive performance, security, and quality improvements in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of IT Team Lead experience.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms or other high-load, real-time systems.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of FIX Protocol or FinTech protocols is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain modules, components, and utilities of the electronic trading platform.
• Develop new Algo models, the Algo framework, market data distribution, and ultra-low-latency exchange connectors.
• Own the platform lifecycle, including development, support, CI/CD, bug fixing, and maintenance.
• Ensure the platform is developed and maintained to the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with global engineering, business, and production support teams.
• Coordinate work across globally distributed teams.
• Contribute to migration and refactoring projects towards new architectures and technologies.
• Work within an Agile software development environment.

We are looking for Senior C++ Developer!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modules, components, and utilities of the electronic trading platform.


• Develop new Algo models, the Algo framework, market data distribution, and ultra-low-latency exchange connectors.


• Own the platform lifecycle, including development, support, CI/CD, bug fixing, and maintenance.


• Ensure the platform is developed and maintained to the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.


• Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews.


• Collaborate with global engineering, business, and production support teams.


• Coordinate work across globally distributed teams.


• Contribute to innovation and greenfield development initiatives.


• Work closely with Production Support on releases and component maintenance.


• Contribute to migration and refactoring projects towards new architectures and technologies.


• Work within an Agile software development environment.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of software development experience.


• At least 2 years of experience as an IT Team Lead.


• Experience with electronic trading platforms or other high-load, real-time systems.


• Experience with Agile development methodologies.


• Experience with migration and refactoring projects.


• Strong experience with C++, preferably modern standards (C++11/14/17/20).


• Good knowledge of STL and Boost.


• Understanding of software design and architecture principles.


• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.


• Confident Linux user with experience in development tools such as:


• CMake


• GCC


• GDB


• Experience with Python.


• Knowledge of SDLC.


• Nice to have: Unix scripting / Bash.


• Nice to have: Knowledge of FIX Protocol or other FinTech protocols.


• Knowledge or interest in ultra-low-latency systems and performance optimization is highly relevant.


• Good written and spoken English.


• Ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team.


• Strong collaboration skills when working with engineering, business, and support teams.


• Strong focus on quality, performance, security, and innovation.
