Empa-T in Porto is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join an international Financial Services project, shaping data ecosystems and driving transformation through modern integration and process optimization.

You will bridge business needs and technical teams, lead workshops, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and guide testing across IST/UAT to ensure successful delivery in a hybrid Porto setting.

Qualificações

• 4+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role in IT environments.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing requirements with stakeholders.
• Proficient in User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Business Rules, and Process Modelling.
• Experience with BPMN/UML and Agile MVP delivery.
• Experience with IST/UAT testing and API/data integration considerations.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring business needs are translated into functional requirements.
• Gather, analyse, document, and manage business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions.
• Create User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Maps, and functional specifications to support Agile delivery.
• Manage and prioritize backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and MVP delivery.
• Analyse current business processes (As-Is) and design optimized future workflows (To-Be).
• Identify process improvement opportunities, automation initiatives, and digital transformation enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and business users throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Define testing strategies and design IST scenarios focused on APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
• Coordinate Functional Testing and UAT, ensuring validation and deployment.
• Perform deep analysis of data ecosystems to identify data quality issues and improvements.
• Support APIs, data virtualization, and modern data integration technologies.
• Present findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join an international project within the Financial Services sector, contributing to the evolution of strategic data ecosystems and helping drive business transformation through modern technologies, data integration, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional requirements
• Gather, analyse, document, and manage business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions
• Create User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Maps, and functional specifications to support Agile delivery
• Manage and prioritize backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and MVP delivery
• Analyse current business processes ("As-Is") and design optimized future workflows ("To-Be")
• Identify process improvement opportunities, automation initiatives, and digital transformation enhancements
• Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and business users throughout the solution lifecycle
• Define testing strategies and design complex Integration System Testing (IST) scenarios focused on APIs, data flows, and system integrations
• Coordinate Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring successful validation and deployment
• Perform deep analysis of data ecosystems to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and process improvements
• Support initiatives involving APIs, data virtualization, and modern data integration technologies
• Present findings, recommendations, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role within IT environments
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Expertise in User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, Business Rules, and Process Modelling
• Experience with BPMN, UML, or other process modelling methodologies
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning, and MVP-driven delivery
• Experience designing and executing Integration System Testing (IST), Functional Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience analysing data quality, data flows, and complex data ecosystemsExperience with ALM Octane, Jira, and Confluence
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Fluent English (mandatory)
