Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Drive the creative vision for projects across all stages, developing innovative concepts, spatial narratives, and architectural solutions that align with client goals and budget parameters.
- Technical Documentation & Detailing: Oversee and author comprehensive construction documentation packages, architectural details, technical specifications, and tender documents with an uncompromising focus on quality, code compliance, and constructability.
- BIM & Revit Oversight: Direct model production and workflow standards in Revit, ensuring seamless coordination between architectural models and structural, MEP, and specialist engineering disciplines.
- Team & Project Management: Lead, mentor, and resource architectural teams; assign tasks, monitor delivery schedules, manage project milestones, and foster professional development among junior and intermediate staff.
- Consultant & Client Engagement: Serve as a primary technical and design point of contact for clients, contractors, municipal authorities, and external consultants to resolve design conflicts and facilitate approvals.
- Construction Administration Support: Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; perform site visits to verify adherence to design intent and approved construction sets.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive professional experience in architectural design, project management, and construction documentation within an established design or architecture firm.
- Education & Licensure: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch); professional registration/licensure with a recognized architectural body is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential. Strong command of complementary design tools (e.g., Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape) is an advantage.
- Detail-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional eye for architectural detailing, material transitions, building envelope systems, and standard construction assemblies.
- Leadership & Organization: Proven track record managing multidisciplinary project teams, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining project profitability.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and graphic presentation skills - preferable in english, with the ability to convey complex design concepts clearly to clients and sub-consultant teams.
