Wire IT in Portugal seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production-ready ML/AI pipelines with C#/.NET alongside NLP and LLM workloads. You will translate business needs into scalable AI solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, international environment.

The role focuses on developing end-to-end AI features, fine-tuning models, and delivering robust, secure, and compliant software solutions in a hybrid Porto setup.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch alongside .NET.
• Hands-on experience with NLP tools like Hugging Face and LLMs such as GPT/Transformers.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, and deploying models.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of API security and data privacy; fluent English; Agile/Scrum.

Senior AI Software Engineer

Location:

Porto, Hybrid

Required skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch alongside .NET.
• Hands-on experience with NLP tools such as Hugging Face and LLM frameworks such as GPT and Transformers.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS, microservices, and deploying custom models.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid grasp of trusted AI practices, API security, and data privacy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, Agile/Scrum proficiency, and fluent English.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining efficient C#/.NET code alongside production-ready ML pipelines.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional applications and AI/ML solutions, particularly NLP and LLMs.
• Experience fine-tuning, deploying and optimizing pre-trained models for specific product use cases.
• Experience creating POCs for R&D projects and analysing complex datasets.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
• Experience maintaining documentation for software architecture and AI algorithms.
• Experience prioritizing client issue resolution according to SLAs and identifying technical debt.
