Riskified is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a fast-moving AI Engineering team in Lisbon. You will be the central hub for AI across Riskified, building scalable backend systems, APIs, and platforms to support AI initiatives across products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/server-side development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python preferred).
• Ability to collaborate across product, business, and non-technical teams.
• Strong product-thinking and requirements prioritization.
• Ownership to develop, deploy, and operate projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable AI capabilities (models, tools, APIs, platforms).
• Develop and maintain MCP server for AI agents to access Riskified data stores.
• Create evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails for reliability and safety.
• Cultivate AI engineering best practices across the organization.
• Own end-to-end projects from requirements to deployment and operation.
• Collaborate with teams to accelerate AI adoption and productization.
