Job summary

Riskified is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its fast-moving AI Engineering team. You will help build and scale the AI platform powering Riskified’s products, while driving robust evaluation and guardrails for safe, high-quality AI deployments.

Based in Lisbon with a hybrid work model, you will collaborate across product, business, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end AI-driven solutions and ensure reliable, scalable systems leveraging public clouds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend and server-side development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python preferred).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Exposure to AI tooling and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and AI-enabled features.
• Develop and maintain MCP server to enable AI agents and secure data access.
• Create evaluation frameworks and guardrails for model reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and other teams to drive AI adoption and productization.
