Accenture Digital Core is seeking a senior data/ML engineer to design and operate end-to-end pipelines in production. You will implement ML models, manage data changes and ensure robust, secure pipelines using Python, SQL and Spark in Azure environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to DevOps practices and maintain high observability, with a strong emphasis on incident management and compliance in regulated settings.

Qualificações

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data/AI production environments and incident/support environments.
• Experience with Python (production usage), SQL and SQL-based database systems.
• Knowledge of PySpark / Spark, Azure (Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks) and CI/CD/DevOps tools.
• Understanding of monitoring tools and active collaboration in distributed teams.
• Professional English at C1 level and strong communication skills.
• Must hold a valid work permit or EU/Schengen nationality to work in Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Design, operate and troubleshoot end-to-end data and ML pipelines in production environments.

• Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using Spark / PySpark.
• Monitor systems using logs, metrics and alerts, ensuring operational stability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data and ML workloads on Azure.
• Collaborate with backend, platform and business teams in distributed environments.
• Develop production-grade solutions using Python, SQL, JSON/YAML, Git.
• Implement and debug pipelines on Azure (Data Lake, Databricks).
• Use ML experimentation tools and notebooks; ensure idempotent processing and profiling.
• Apply data validation, sanity checks and numerical precision awareness; ensure observability.

• Design, operate and troubleshoot end-to-end data and ML pipelines in production environments

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field

• Professional English at C1 level (spoken and written)
• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
