act digital is seeking a Data Architect in Porto, Portugal to design and implement cloud-based data architectures on Microsoft Azure. You will work hands-on with Azure Databricks, Python and PySpark to build scalable data pipelines and robust data solutions.

The role requires deep experience in data models, pipelines, quality, security and governance, with strong English communication for an international environment. Flexible, hands-on contributor in Agile/Scrum settings is preferred.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Data Architect with a hands-on technical background.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for data processing.
• Strong experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, including models, pipelines, integration and processing patterns.
• Experience designing scalable and robust data pipelines.
• Translate business and technical requirements into data architecture solutions.
• Knowledge of data engineering best practices including performance, security and governance.
• Hands-on role, contributing to design and implementation.
• Good English, written and spoken; based in Northern Portugal; Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Design, develop and optimize data solutions using Azure Databricks, Python and PySpark.
• Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and processing.
• Ensure scalability, performance, reliability and maintainability of data solutions.
• Define and promote data architecture standards, patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects and stakeholders.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into architecture solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing architectures and pipelines.
• Ensure implementation of data quality, security, governance and performance best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform challenges.
• Remain actively involved with hands-on implementation.
