Accenture Portugal is seeking a senior data/ML engineer to design, operate and optimize end‑to‑end data and ML pipelines in production. You will integrate ML models, build streaming and batch pipelines with PySpark, and ensure robust observability and governance in Azure environments.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and collaboration across distributed teams. A hybrid work model is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Design, operate and troubleshoot end‑to‑end data and ML pipelines in production environments.
• Integrate and run ML/AI models, ensuring correct handling of inputs, outputs and data changes.
• Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using Spark/PySpark.
• Monitor systems using logs, metrics and alerts for operational stability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data and ML workloads on Azure.
• Collaborate with backend, platform and business teams in distributed environments.
• Develop production‑grade solutions using Python, SQL, JSON/YAML, Git.
• Implement and debug pipelines on Azure (Data Lake, Databricks).
• Use ML experimentation tools and notebooks (MLflow, Weights&Biases, DatabricksML).
• Ensure idempotent processing, performance profiling and safe re‑runs.
• Apply data validation, sanity checks and numerical precision awareness.
• Ensure observability through log and metric interpretation.
• Apply basic access control (RBAC) and secure data handling practices.
• Work within regulated environments (Financial Services).
• Participate in Agile delivery, documentation practices and incident awareness.
• Model lifecycle awareness and understand assumptions/limitations.
• Be aware of compliance constraints.

What You Bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field;
• 7 to 10years of relevant work experience;
• Experience indata/AI production environments;
• Experience inincident/support environments;
• Experience with Python (production usage), SQL and SQL‑based database systems;
• Knowledge inPySpark/ Spark, Azure (Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks) as well as CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, pipelines);
• Understanding of Monitoring tools (logs, alerts);
• Professional English (C1 Levelrequiredin spoken and written);
• French or Dutch is a plus;
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders;
• Strong collaboration skills within distributed and cross‑functional teams;
• Proactive mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability;
• Structured approach to incident and problem management;
• Ability to prioritize workload efficiently in a dynamic environment.
