LEADERSHIP BUSINESS CONSULTING seeks an AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI-powered solutions for clients and internal transformation. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to turn business requirements, models and data into reliable applications across the full lifecycle, from discovery to deployment.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, code quality, and collaboration, with exposure to Azure AI Services, LangChain and modern AI tooling.

Qualificações

Your role

• Build AI-enabled applications using generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, document intelligence and intelligent automation.
• Develop assistants, copilots, semantic search, recommendation, classification, document-analysis and workflow-support solutions
• Build RAG pipelines using enterprise documents and data, with traceable sources and appropriate access controls
• Integrate models with web applications, APIs, databases, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP, CRM and client systems
• Write clean, modular, tested and documented production code; participate in code reviews and collaborative engineering practices.
• Implement prompts, structured outputs, validation, guardrails, model routing and fallback mechanisms
• Prepare and transform structured and unstructured data for retrieval, evaluation and application development
• Evaluate accuracy, relevance, groundedness, hallucination, latency, cost, robustness and reliability
• Support secure cloud, hybrid or client-managed deployment, including logging, tracing, monitoring and incident resolution
• Apply privacy-by-design, security-by-design and responsible-AI principles throughout development
• Contribute to internal LBC solutions, reusable components, technical standards, accelerators and AI-enabled products
• Participate in client workshops, demonstrations, proposals, knowledge transfer and adoption support

The AI Engineer will design, develop, integrate and deploy AI solutions for LBC’s clients and for LBC’s own transformation into an AI-powered organisation.You will work in multidisciplinary teams with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, architects, business analysts, consultants, designers and governance specialists.This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who can turn business requirements, models and data into reliable applications. You will contribute across the full lifecycle: discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

What we look for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of experience programming in Python, with demonstrated knowledge of software engineering best practices, including clean code, modular architecture, and version control
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in AI engineering, with exposure to solution design and deployment
• Preferably deploying solutions on Azure infrastructure, including familiarity with Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, MS Foundry, Azure AI Search) and the broader Azure ecosystem
• Experience working with LLMs in application development, including prompt engineering and basic agentic workflows
• Hands‑on experience with RAG solution design and deployment, including vector databases and retrieval strategies
• Familiarity with AI/LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and/or HuggingFace Transformers
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and containerization solutions (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, Git, cloud environments, containerisation, testing, logging and debugging
• Awareness of prompt injection, data leakage, access control, privacy, evaluation and responsible‑AI requirements
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and cloud‑native deployment patterns
• Strong problem‑solving and ownership, ability to work with ambiguity in non‑deterministic AI system
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Good English. Portuguese is highly desirable; German language is an advantage
• Experience with consulting, enterprise platforms, public‑sector or regulated clients, MLOps/LLMOps, open‑source models or document intelligence is valuable
• Strong junior candidates may be considered for an Associate AI Engineer role
