Job summary

Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Senior Agile Coach (Freelancer) to join a strategic transformation initiative in a regulated environment. You will work with Engineering, Product, Architecture and Delivery stakeholders to improve delivery predictability and organizational agility.

You will guide teams in Agile practices, help define Jira boards and workflows, support Jira adoption and migration from Azure DevOps, and contribute to scalable operating models.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching software product and engineering teams in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile transformation, delivery excellence and continuous improvement.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Agile Coach (Freelancer) to integrate our teams in a strategic transformation initiative within a leading organisation operating in a complex and highly regulated environment. In this role, you will work closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture and Delivery stakeholders, helping improve delivery predictability, operational discipline, flow efficiency and organisational agility. You will support engineering teams and leaders in establishing scalable ways of working, optimising delivery processes, and enabling the successful adoption of Jira as a core collaboration and governance platform.

What you will do:

• Coach delivery teams, Tech Leads, Product Owners and engineering leaders to improve execution, collaboration and delivery outcomes;
• Support the definition and optimisation of Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, reporting structures and governance models;
• Drive improvements in delivery predictability, transparency, flow efficiency and operational discipline across multiple teams;
• Facilitate workshops, retrospectives and stakeholder alignment sessions, helping teams overcome impediments and strengthen decision-making;
• Guide engineering organisations through Agile and delivery transformations while ensuring sustainable adoption of practices and long-term capability building;
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery stakeholders to establish effective and scalable operating models;
• Promote pragmatic Agile practices that balance governance needs with team autonomy and value delivery;
• Support the transition from Azure DevOps to Jira and contribute to the adoption of modern engineering and delivery practices.

What you are like:

• Experienced in coaching software product and engineering teams within complex organisational environments;
• Proficient in Agile transformation initiatives, with a strong understanding of delivery excellence, value flow and continuous improvement;
• Hands‑on expertise with Jira, including configuration strategies, workflows, boards, dashboards, governance and reporting;
• Skilled in coaching Product Owners, Tech Leads, Engineering Managers and delivery leadership teams;
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including architecture dependencies, testing strategies, release management, technical debt management and CI/CD;
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management and conflict‑resolution skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority;
• Knowledgeable in Azure DevOps and Jira migration scenarios;
• Familiar with test‑management solutions such as Xray or equivalent integrations;
• Comfortable working in regulated environments, preferably within financial services, banking or similar sectors;
• Interest in modern operating models, flow metrics, Team Topologies, Lean Portfolio Management and AI‑assisted engineering practices;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
