Job summary

Nutrium Care is expanding its finance function across Portugal, the US, and Brazil. As Senior Accountant, you will be the go-to person for accounting and tax, owning the full cycle from monthly closes to intercompany reconciliations, payroll, and audits.

You’ll drive process improvements and automation while partnering with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance and timely reporting. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Accountant registered with OCC (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience across full accounting cycle: tax filings, monthly/year-end closes, audits, payroll, intercompany operations.
• Knowledge of SNC, IFRS, and Portuguese tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and year-end closing processes, including accruals, deferrals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory filings (VAT, corporate income tax, IES, SAF-T, withholding taxes).
• Manage payroll processing and related obligations (Social Security, withholding tax, payroll accruals).
• Manage intercompany operations and reconciliations across Nutrium’s international subsidiaries.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits and annual report.
