Apex Group in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a Senior Accountant to deliver high-quality accounting, reporting and tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio. You will own engagements, support junior staff, and collaborate across our Corporate Solutions team to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Fluency in Portuguese and English, a relevant degree and a Certified Accountant credential are required.

Qualificações

• Must hold a degree in accounting or related field.
• Qualified Cert. Accountant (Contabilista Certificado) and Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados membership preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese GAAP, corporate tax and VAT.
• Experience with international clients is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for Portuguese and international clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements and tax declarations.
• Prepare corporate tax returns and VAT filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate and meet deadlines.
