Job summary

L Hotel Fátima, part of The Lakhani Group, opens in 2026 and seeks a Sales Manager to build the hotel's business from launch, targeting pilgrimage groups, tour operators, online channels and corporate clients. You will develop the opening year's sales plan, manage accounts, negotiate contracts, and represent the hotel at trade fairs and with partners in Portugal and abroad.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is required; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent Portuguese and English; Spanish, Italian, French or Polish a plus.
• Confident negotiator with OTA extranet and CRM experience.
• Target-driven, well-organised and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage OTA and channel partners, rates, availability and content.
• Negotiate group, corporate and event contracts and allotments.

• Run launch marketing: website, social media, reviews and local partnerships.
• Report weekly on pipeline, bookings, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.

About L Hotel Fátima: The Lakhani Group (TLG) is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are building our founding team.

The Sales Manager builds L Hotel Fátima's business from launch, filling rooms through pilgrimage groups, tour operators, online channels and corporate clients. Office hours, Mon–Fri, some weekends. Reports to: Hotel Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and deliver the sales plan and room revenue targets for the opening year
• Win and manage accounts with pilgrimage and religious tour operators, travel agencies, parishes and DMCs
• Manage OTA and channel partners, rates, availability and content
• Negotiate group, corporate and event contracts and allotments
• Represent the hotel at trade fairs, fam trips and sales visits in Portugal and abroad
• Run launch marketing: website, social media, reviews and local partnerships
• Report weekly on pipeline, bookings, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR

Applications are reviewed daily and interviews run on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Requirements

• At least 3 years in hotel sales, tourism sales or tour operations
• Network with tour operators or religious-tourism markets is a strong advantage
• Fluent Portuguese and English; Spanish, Italian, French or Polish a plus
• Confident negotiator with OTA extranet and CRM experience
• Target-driven, well-organised and willing to travel
• Driving licence (Category B)
• Nice to have: revenue management and pre-opening sales experience
• Paid training before opening
