The Lakhani Group is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026 and is building its founding finance team. The Hotel Finance Manager will own accounts, budgets and financial controls, setting up finance processes from night one.

Office hours are Mon–Fri with reporting to Hotel Manager and Group Finance. Responsibilities include setting up chart of accounts, budgeting, month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll inputs and tax compliance, ensuring audit-ready records and tight controls

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 3+ years in finance or accounting, ideally in hotels or hospitality.
• Solid knowledge of Portuguese SNC accounting and tax rules.
• Advanced Excel; experience with accounting software (PHC, Primavera, SAGE) and a PMS.
• Fluent Portuguese and good English.

Responsabilités

• Set up and run hotel accounting: chart of accounts, PMS and POS revenue integration, and month-end close.
• Prepare the annual budget, monthly forecasts and P&L reports for the Hotel Manager and TLG.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, and group and agency invoicing.
• Oversee daily revenue audit, cash control and card reconciliations, reviewing the Night Auditor's reports.
• Monitor costs by department and flag variances.
• Run payroll inputs with HR and ensure tax and Social Security compliance, working with the certified accountant.
• Maintain internal controls, purchasing approvals and audit-ready records.

About L Hotel Fátima: The Lakhani Group (TLG) is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are building our founding team.

The Hotel Finance Manager owns the hotel's accounts, budgets and financial controls. As a pre-opening hire, you will set up finance processes so the hotel trades with clean numbers from its first night. Office hours, Mon–Fri. Reports to: Hotel Manager, with a dotted line to TLG Group Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run hotel accounting: chart of accounts, PMS and POS revenue integration, and month-end close
• Prepare the annual budget, monthly forecasts and P&L reports for the Hotel Manager and TLG
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, and group and agency invoicing
• Oversee daily revenue audit, cash control and card reconciliations, reviewing the Night Auditor's reports
• Monitor costs by department and flag variances
• Run payroll inputs with HR and ensure tax (IVA, IRS withholding) and Social Security compliance, working with the certified accountant
• Maintain internal controls, purchasing approvals and audit-ready records

Applications are reviewed daily and interviews run on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• At least 3 years in finance or accounting, ideally in hotels or hospitality
• Solid knowledge of Portuguese accounting (SNC) and tax rules
• Advanced Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. PHC, Primavera, SAGE) and a PMS
• Fluent Portuguese and good English
• Organised, accurate and comfortable reporting to senior management
• Nice to have: hotel pre-opening experience; USALI reporting; OCC registration
• Paid training before opening
