SWJ Portugal Engineering Solutions in Lisbon is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher - Returnable Packaging to oversee the operational supply of returnable containers for the automotive industry. Based at our Lisbon site, you’ll work in SAP-based systems, monitor stock levels, requirements and transport operations across four XDock sites, prioritising proactive problem solving over manual order processing.

Qualifications

• Completed qualification in logistics, freight forwarding, industry or comparable field.
• 1–3 years' professional experience in operational logistics, scheduling, supply chain management or comparable environment.
• Experience in a system-supported environment and interest in data/digital processes.
• Analytical thinking to identify problems by analysing stock levels, demand, discrepancies.
• Process discipline to follow defined rules reliably.

Responsabilités

• Monitor daily availability of returnable containers and incoming requirements from suppliers and plants.
• Review automatically generated planning proposals, adjust and approve per processes.
• Manage operational planning of returnable containers for four XDock sites.
• Identify deviations, bottlenecks and delays early; initiate necessary measures.
• Follow up on bottlenecks and disruptions until a solution is found.
• Coordinate special measures such as ad hoc deliveries or stock reallocations when needed.
• Check orders and system data for plausibility; ensure information is accurate and complete.
• Handle special and clearing cases; provide information to resolve them.
• Communicate critical situations; escalate if independent solution isn't possible.
• Collaborate with supervisor or team leader for complex or critical situations.
