WeTravel is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Payments team to lead critical projects across collection, disbursement, FX, reconciliation, and a new card issuing stack. You will guide discovery with Product and PayOps, design with PSPs, and drive build, rollout, and incident response in a globally distributed environment.

You will own the reliability of our payments platform, collaborate with product teams to address organizer and traveler needs, and mentor engineers on best practices,

Qualificações

• 7+ years of product engineering expertise, with 4+ years dedicated to architecting complex payments systems.
• Proven track record within PSP, acquirer, gateway, or high-scale payments team.
• Deep knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, 3DS2, webhooks, and PCI tokenization frameworks.
• Backend mastery in Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Full-stack capability to build the React interface for payment flows.
• On-call production experience with post-mortems and incident response.
• Excellent communication in a distributed, multicultural environment.
• Pragmatic adoption of AI tools to optimize engineering workflows.

• Partner with Product to understand organizer and traveler challenges and deliver effective payment solutions.
• Own the reliability of the payments system.
