Human Made is seeking an Engineering Manager to balance technical oversight with people leadership, guiding a remote, global squad delivering client projects. You will support engineers, drive growth, and ensure best practices across WordPress, React and APIs.

You will collaborate with delivery and commercial teams to keep projects on track, grow capabilities, and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the engineering function.

Qualificações

• Experience with WordPress, React and APIs in a software engineering context.
• Proven track record leading a team of engineers, preferably in an agency environment.
• Excellent communication, team building and organisational skills.
• Able to identify improvement areas and turn feedback into development plans.
• Confident in addressing interpersonal issues and remote collaboration.
• Experience in a remote working environment and cross‑functional delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct Performance Reviews and 1:1s with reports.
• Capture and translate feedback into actionable development plans.
• Coach and mentor engineers and support career progression.
• Represent the engineering team in structure, wellbeing and professional growth discussions.
• Lead a cross‑functional squad with clear goals and accountability.
• Facilitate ceremonies and ensure consistency across squads.
