Lever, Inc. in Portugal is seeking a PSP Financial Analyst to oversee financial control and operational oversight across payment service providers, focusing on reconciliation, liquidity management, and cost analysis. This role is remote and hands-on in a data-driven, international environment.

You will monitor payment flows, settlements, and provider statements, investigate discrepancies, and drive improvements with internal stakeholders and providers.

Qualificações

2+ years of experience in finance, finance operations, or financial analysis.
Experience with payment providers, PSP reconciliation, or fintech data.
Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills for large datasets.
Experience in reconciliation, settlement reports and financial reporting.
Attention to detail with analytical mindset and problem solving.
Good communication and ability to work independently.
English proficiency at intermediate level or higher.
Experience in iGaming, fintech, e-commerce or retail is a plus.

Responsabilidades

Manage day-to-day communication and relationships with payment service providers, ensuring agreed commercial and operational terms are followed.
Monitor balances across payment systems and maintain sufficient liquidity for payouts and settlements.
Prepare and control settlement requests, player payouts, and company withdrawals.
Reconcile transaction turnover, balances, settlement reports, provider statements, and other payment‑related financial data.
Investigate financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate with payment providers and internal teams until issues are fully resolved.
Monitor provider fees, costs, exchange rates, rolling reserves, commissions, and contractual terms.
Analyze payment service provider performance and identify opportunities to optimize costs and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation covering payment procedures, reconciliation processes, and related financial controls.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PSP Financial Analyst based in Portugal.

This role focuses on financial control and operational oversight across payment service providers, combining reconciliation, liquidity management, and financial analysis. You’ll monitor payment flows, balances, settlements, and provider costs to help maintain accurate and efficient financial operations. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive issues through to resolution. You’ll work closely with external payment providers and internal stakeholders while ensuring agreed commercial and operational terms are followed. Your analysis will also support recommendations for reducing payment costs and improving processes. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently in a data‑driven, international environment.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in finance, finance operations, payment operations, PSP reconciliation, or financial analysis.
Experience working with payment service providers, banks, fintech products, or payment-related financial data.
Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, with the ability to analyze and manage large datasets.
Practical experience with financial reconciliation, provider statements, settlement reports, transaction turnover, balance control, or regular financial reporting.
Understanding of fundamental financial processes, cost control, and management accounting principles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and develop practical solutions.
Excellent attention to detail, ownership, and ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills and confidence collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external providers.
Intermediate or higher English proficiency, particularly for written communication.
Experience in iGaming, fintech, e‑commerce, or retail is a plus.
Familiarity with rolling reserves, commissions, fees, exchange rates, or payment cost analysis is advantageous.
Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence tools is a plus.
Basic SQL knowledge is beneficial.
