Synere Group, Lda in Porto, Portugal seeks a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to drive complex product development from concept to production. You will lead 3D CAD modeling, drawings, tolerancing, and BOM creation while coordinating with automation and other disciplines.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial mechanical design, strong English and project-management skills, and a hands-on approach to manufacturing transfer, validation, and documentation in PLM systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Project management / product development training (valued).
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design and product development experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience in 3D CAD, technical drawing, materials, manufacturing processes, prototypes, and transfer to production.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination of multidisciplinary teams (valued).
• Proficiency in mechanical design: 3D CAD, technical drawing, tolerancing, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Solid knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, assembly, welding, bending, cutting, and machining.
• Ability to perform calculations, dimensioning, and technical verifications.
• Proficiency in project planning: deadlines, costs, risks, actions, and indicators.
• Knowledge of product development, prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialization cycle.
• Proficiency in change management, technical documentation, and PLM.
• Technical English.

Responsabilidades

• Define scope, requirements, objectives, deliverables, schedule, resources, costs, and risks for each project according to the internal GPI process.
• Execute mechanical design: 3D CAD modeling, 2D drawings, specifications, tolerances, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes; perform or coordinate calculations, dimensioning, and technical verifications.
• Structure and maintain the project plan, gates, actions, indicators, and monitoring reports.
• Coordinate the interfaces between mechanical design, automation, and other product systems.
• Ensure the timely involvement of production, industrialization, quality, purchasing, logistics, and suppliers.
• Monitor the construction of prototypes, trials, functional tests, and validations.
• Pilot industrialization, ensuring the processes, resources, instructions, and documentation necessary for production.
• Manage technical changes and their respective documentation in PLM;prepare the formal transition to production and monitor the initial start-up.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in 3D CAD, technical drawing, materials, manufacturing processes, prototypes, and transfer to production
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination of multidisciplinary teams (valued)
• Proficiency in mechanical design: 3D CAD, technical drawing, tolerancing, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation
