A leading automotive supplier in Palmela is seeking an experienced professional to manage projects from conception to execution. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, with 5-6 years in the JIT automotive industry. Responsibilities include evaluating projects, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Evaluation of projects, change requests and feasibility checks, e.g. testing ofmanufacturability

Assumption of project management and independent implementation ofprojects including technical management of a team

Responsible for the overall project budget and achievement of project goals

Establishment of new locations / new projects in coordination with the interfaces

Planning and coordination of production workflows and processes, including theevaluation and responsibility of investments, start-up costs and definition of workconsequences of sub-projects

Design of workplaces taking ergonomics and occupational safety intoaccount

Preparation of technical tenders/requirement specifications including technical evaluation of the bids as well as ensuring compliance with thespecifications, as well as support in procurement

Commissioning of the procured equipment and the processes introduced

Creation and ongoing adaptation in the hall layout system (HLS)

Preparation of expense histories and project schedules

Preparation of reports, committee documents and management overviews aswell as their presentation

Preparation of relevant documents for the industrialization process,participation in Failure Mode Effect Analyses (FMEA)

Planning and coordination of production workflows and processes, including theevaluation and responsibility of investments, start-up costs and definition of workconsequences of sub-projects

Design of workplaces taking ergonomics and occupational safety intoaccount

Evaluation of projects, change requests and feasibility checks, e.g. testing ofmanufacturability

Education and specialization in Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.

Work experience preferable 5 to 6 years in JIT automotive industry.
