Hovione in Portugal seeks an experienced Senior Production Operator to oversee and supervise all production activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and right‑first‑time operations in line with cGMP and HSE.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead the production team, manage schedules, and ensure proper documentation (SAP, LIMS, SchedulePro) while maintaining a clean, compliant facility and contributing to audits.

Qualificações

• Requires full secondary education supported by a science or engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Mandatory experience in manufacturing/production environments with knowledge of process systems used in pharmaceutical operations.
• Significant experience in fine chemicals or pharmaceutical production; Senior Production Operator training is desirable.
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations and area management practices (5S, indicators, waste management, safety).
• Good written and verbal communication; English proficiency desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and supervise all production activities to ensure efficient, safe, and right‑first‑time operations aligned with cGMP, HSE, and business requirements.
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture by identifying risks, implementing mitigations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, equipment, procedures, and team performance.
• Lead and develop the production team through coaching, training, workload allocation, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate production schedules, equipment readiness, sampling processes, and respond to deviations or downtime.
• Maintain production documentation (production records, protocols, indicators, system entries) and support audits and investigations.
• Foster regular team communication and alignment with KPIs and organizational policies.
