Hovione in Portugal is seeking a skilled Analytical Development specialist to lead qualitative and quantitative analyses of drug substances, intermediates, and products. You will promote scientific excellence, ensure data accuracy, and support cross-functional project teams while complying with GMP and HSE standards.

The role requires coordination of lab activities, supervision of technicians, and ongoing process improvements to advance quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
• Experience in Analytical Development in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of cGMP (desirable) and HSEE practices (mandatory).
• Experience coordinating others in the field.
• Solid knowledge of Analytical Chemistry / Analytical Development and laboratory practices.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Fluency in English is highly desirable.
• Must follow rules and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of compounds and drug products.
• Promote scientific excellence and ensure data accuracy per GMP/HSE policies.
• Coordinate information flow between lab and internal/external customers.
• Review and approve analytical data generated by the team.
• Prepare reports and official documentation from analytical data.
• Support project teams in solving analytical challenges.
• Maintain continuous improvement plans and investigations.
• Ensure equipment verification and calibration are up to standard.
• Supervise technicians and support HR processes for performance management.
