act digital is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to join a team responsible for the stability, automation, industrialization, and continuous improvement of critical production applications.

You will work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams to support business-critical environments, manage application releases, and contribute to the modernization of production processes.

Qualificações

• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux production environments.
• Scripting in Shell (KSH) and PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD and release management.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with Control-M, BMC scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and follow up on technical operations and infrastructure changes, including server migrations and electrical shutdown activities.
• Create, maintain, and improve operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Document application components, software architecture, technical architecture, operational procedures, and monitoring requirements.
• Manage and coordinate application releases and production deployments.
• Schedule, monitor, and manage batch processing activities.
• Perform application commissioning and deployment activities in collaboration with development, maintenance, infrastructure, database, and network teams.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Contribute to the automation, standardization, and industrialization of production processes.
• Support the evolution of applications to address technical and functional requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and work within staggered schedules when required.

We are looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join a team responsible for ensuring the stability, automation, industrialization, and continuous improvement of critical production applications. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams to support business-critical environments, manage application releases, and contribute to the modernization of production processes.

Work Model:

Hybrid (2 days per week in the office Porto)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on technical operations and infrastructure changes, including server migrations and electrical shutdown activities.

• Document application components, software architecture, technical architecture, operational procedures, and monitoring requirements.
• Manage and coordinate application releases and production deployments.
• Schedule, monitor, and manage batch processing activities.
• Perform application commissioning and deployment activities in collaboration with development, maintenance, infrastructure, database, and network teams.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of production incidents.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Shell (KSH) and PowerShell.
• Experience with industrial scheduling tools such as Control-M, BMC, or equivalent solutions.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Experience with CI/CD and collaboration tools including Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with Python development and automation.
• Knowledge of Micro Focus CSA (HCM) is considered an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills in production environments.
• Experience supporting critical and highly available application environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
